Certified Veterinary Technician
Our veterinary technicians are involved in all aspects of making our hospital run smoothly. From patient check-in to discharge, they are vital to our team. Responsibilities typically include: history-taking in the exam rooms, client education, in-patient nursing care, laboratory work, taking radiographs, providing animal restraint, assisting with medical, anesthesia and surgical procedures, providing pharmacy services, and hospital maintenance.
We prefer that our veterinary technicians are certified and have one or more years of experience before joining our care team. Our technicians are reliable, have a strong work ethic, and are available to work a combination of day and evening in our busy practice environment.
Receptionist/ Veterinary Assistant
Our receptionists/ veterinary assistants are at the forefront of our care team waiting to greet clients and patients. They are likely the first and last faces clients see when they walk through our clinic doors. Receptionist responsibilities typically include: answering phones, greeting and checking in patients, and handling payment for services. Because our receptionists also help clients with their furry friends, they must also serve as veterinary assistants and possess the ability to safely restrain pets when necessary.
Our receptionists/ veterinary assistants typically have previous experience. Therefore they have excellent customer service skills, are reliable, and are able to multitask. They also work a combination of day and evening in our busy practice environment.
Technician Assistants
Our technician assistants are reliable individuals who work independently to care for our impounded and boarded animals as well as in a team setting to assist our technicians. Responsibilities typically include: feeding and watering the dogs and cats, exercising the dogs, cleaning kennels, performing general housekeeping for the clinic, and doing laundry. Technician assistants also have experience in administering medications and injections to animals, preforming nail trims, ear cleanings and anal gland expressions.
The technician assistants schedule allows for flexibility. The position includes weekday, and some holiday hours. All of our technician assistants are 18 years of age and older and have dependable transportation. This job is a great part time or full time position on our care team!
